Introduction

    The Group of Bioinformatics, led by Prof. Dr. Ming Chen, aims at the research and development Bioinformatics for applications in dataset from plant science and biomedical experiments. In our research we focus not only on the implementation of new and innovative algorithms but also on ways how to facilitate bioinformatics analysis for laboratories. The group is associated with the State Key Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, within the College of Life Sciences at Zhejiang University. It has also strong ties to other institutes, such as University Bielefeld's Bioinformatics Department, Germany; Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), Germany; Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS, Russia; the Departments of Mathematical Sciences & Biological Sciences, University of Essex, UK; CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology (PICB), Shanghai.
